Helping to Feed Our Community

Good Shepherd Food Pantry

Located at the Madison Campus, the pantry provides emergency food assistance to residents in our immediate neighborhood.

There are a variety of ways you can engage in our fight to end hunger and new faces are always welcome on the team.  Volunteers serve once a month and there are additional opportunities to help and donate outside of the food pantry hours.

The food pantry is open each Thursday 10:00 am – 12:00 pm and 5:30 – 7:00 pm.

Allied Food Pantry

The Food Pantry serves the Allied Drive/Dunn’s Marsh neighborhoods out of the Boys and Girls Club, with financial support from GSLC and its Foundation. In all, over 25 outside partners helped to provide neighborhood residents with fresh produce and eliminate food waste produced by local businesses.

We are always looking for people passionate about our mission to join the team. Volunteers serve once a month.

The pantry is open each Wednesday 10:00 am – 12:00 pm and 6:00 – 7:30 pm.

SOUPer Bowl

Every year leading up to Super Bowl Sunday, we fight hunger by holding our own SOUPer Bowl, where we collect hundreds of cans of soup to support our local food pantries.

Help support this effort by donating soup or giving a financial donation.  Volunteers help to sort and count the cans on collection day.

Look for more information before February 3, 2019!

Loaves and Fishes

Loaves and Fishes is a team that serves lunch for homeless and low-income individuals at Luke House in downtown Madison once a month. Team members support this ministry serving the meal, cooking, or bringing in supplies.

Fourth Thursday of every month 9:00 am – 1:30 pm

Meals on Wheels

In May and November, Good Shepherd members deliver noon meals through this community ministry. Volunteers are asked to work one Sunday in May and one in November.

Thanksgiving Meal

On Thanksgiving Day every year we serve 300-400 people a delicious Thanksgiving Meal.  Good Shepherd members, neighbors and friends gather together to eat and celebrate.  Volunteers are needed to donate the food before Thanksgiving Day and also serve during the meal by preparing food, serving our guests and washing dishes.

Join us this year on November 22, 2018 from 11:00am-1:00pm at Madison Campus!
