DESCRIPTION:Dr. Olivier Eisenmann\, organist\, and flautist Verena Steffen\, both of Weggis\, Switzerland\, (near Lucerne) will present a one-hour recital on Monday\, March 20 at 7 pm at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church’s Madison Campus on Raymond Road. All are invited\, and a free-will offering will be accepted for the performers. This program is sponsored under the umbrella of the Association of Church Musicians and the Madison Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. \nBorn in Zürich\, and the son of Swiss composer\, Will Eisenmann\, Dr. Eisenmann has concertized extensively throughout Europe\, as well as Russia\, Iceland\, Australia\, New Zealand\, China\, Mexico\, and the United States.  In addition to his own 20 recordings\, he has recorded for radio and television in many countries and has been featured at numerous major organ festivals. Appearing with him will be flautist Verena Steffen\, who likewise has performed extensively throughout Europe and other parts of the world and has recorded on several labels.

DESCRIPTION:With incredible support from the congregation and others\, we are close to having collected donations sufficient to completely furnish three apartments for these new arrivals. We have planned a final Donation Collection Event for Saturday morning\, April 15th\, with the hope of gathering and organizing all the furnishings necessary for the apartments. We will be set up in the parking lot of the Madison Campus from 10:00 until noon with trucks and trailers to pickup and deliver items. The Holy Cow and youth will be there to offer help and encouragement.

This series presents the stories of those Jesus encounters with nuance\, depth and a focus on historical accuracy. \nStarting on Tuesday\, February 28 we will gather each Tuesday night in Peterson Hall at the Madison Campus to watch an episode\, share a simple meal and engage in large and small group discussion about the episode.\nThe evenings will start with a free community meal at 5:30 p.m. with the episode playing as people eat together. Following the episode\, there will be conversations around each table and as a large group.

DESCRIPTION:Steven G. Westimayer\, age 75\, passed away on Sunday\, April 30\, 2023. \nSteve was born August 31\, 1947\, in Beaver Dam\, WI\, to John and Lucille Westimayer. Due to a tragic event\, John passed away. Steve was fortunate to have Orville Sette come into his life and become his stepfather. Lucille and Orville raised Steve in Horicon and Juneau. After high school\, Steve went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from UW-Whitewater. He went on to work with the State of Wisconsin for 39 years as a Computer Specialist. \nIn 1989\, Steve married the love of his life\, Pat\, and became a stepfather himself to Pat’s daughters. Together\, they enjoyed traveling\, Wisconsin sports\, and golfing. \nSteve is survived by his wife\, Pat; stepfather Orville Sette; stepdaughters: Nancy and Sara (Raul); brother\, John (Kathy); granddaughters: Kelsey(Rob)\, Robyn (Vince)\, and Hannah; nine great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his dad\, John and mother\, Lucille.
