DESCRIPTION:Your Help Needed to Wrap Shoe Box Gifts \nThe Good Shepherd Outreach Ministry group – God’s Hands and Feet\, are requesting your help in wrapping 150 shoe box gifts on Sunday\, November 19 following the 9 a.m. Worship Service at the Madison Campus.  The wrapping will take place in the Good Shepherd Room from 10 a.m to 11 a.m.  However much time you can give will be greatly appreciated.  The gift wrap\, tape and scissors will be provided.  We just need your help wrapping. \nThe gifts are taken to Fountain of Life Church and then distributed to underprivileged children in the community.  No signup needed\, just plan to stay after the 9 a.m. Worship Service on November 19 and share your wrapping talents.

DESCRIPTION:An Advent Concert with The Brilliance\nJoin us Friday\, December 8th at Good Shepherd’s Madison campus for an evening concert with musical artists\, The Brilliance. \nThis New York based group\, will perform original and familiar Advent songs that illuminate the seasons rich promises. \nThe concert is also a fundraiser for Good Shepherd High School Ministry travels (such as the National Youth Gathering this summer). \nClick here to purchase tickets\nTickets can be purchased for a donation at: https://goodshep.breezechms.com/form/brilliance You can choose general tickets or add-on a special session of Q&A with The Brilliance before the concert. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the music starts at 7:00 p.m. \nThe Brilliance music is poetic and liturgical with beautiful orchestral sounds that can be enjoyed by all. \n \n  \nThe Brilliance is made up of John Arndt and David Gungor (brother to Michael Gungor who performed on our lawn last summer). They both grew up in Marshfield. David is also a pastor at Good Shepherd New York\, while John writes a lot of orchestral scores. Their music is orchestral\, hymnodic\, liturgical\, poetic and prayerful. Advent worship at the 6:00 service uses many of their beautiful songs.

The concert will feature Good Shepherd’s Choir and Handbells\, Madison’s Second Century Brass Quintet\, organ\, timpani\, and congregational carols. Free and open to the public. The light shines in the darkness\, and the darkness cannot overcome it no matter how much it seems like the darkness is winning.

DESCRIPTION:On Wednesday\, January 17th\, 2024 at 6:30 in Peterson Hall at the Madison campus\, Good Shepherd is hosting a discussion on Judaism and the Israeli/Palestinian conflict with Rabbis Jonathan Biatch and Bonnie Margulis. \nOur guest speakers will provide a quick overview of 4000 years of Jewish history\, focusing on Jewish connection to the land of Israel and the history of persecution in the Diaspora around the world.  Then they will delve in more detail into the history and political realities of the last 100 years\, leading to the creation of the state of Israel and the roots and realities of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict that brought us to today.
