DESCRIPTION:Who’s Ready for a Cook-Off? \nThe Chili Cook-off and Pie Auction is back! Friday March 15 from 6 – 8 p.m. at our Verona Campus. It is a family friendly night of intergenerational fun! A great place to meet or invite a friend. \nThis beloved event raises money for our HS youth summer travels. This summer they will be attending the ELCA Youth Gathering in New Orleans from July 15 – 21. . This is an opportunity for our youth to worship\, serve\, play\, and stretch their Spirits alongside 20\,000 other young Lutherans from around the world.  Good Shepherd has a long history of supporting our youth through experiences of travel and pilgrimage and we look forward to taking a big crew down to the Bayou this summer. \nCome and Dine.\nYour ticket gets you in the door to enjoy pie and custard\, homemade cornbread\, coffee and lemonade\, and all the chili fixins. Individual cups of chili are pay-what -you-like throughout the night\, enjoy as much as you like! He is the author or co-author of four books including The Nones\, 20 Myths about Religion and Politics in America\, and The Great Dechurching. He has written for the New York Times\, the Wall Street Journal and POLITICO. He has also appeared on 60 Minutes\, where Anderson Cooper called him\, “one of the leading data analysts of religion and politics in the United States.” He has been a pastor of an American Baptist Church for over seventeen years.
