About Ellen

Former Board Member

Ellen Franzone first attended Good Shepherd as a graduate student at UW Madison. She and her husband Jim then formally joined when they moved back to town in 2001. Originally trained as a speech-language pathologist, Ellen has worked with educators and consultants around the state in order to increase their professional capacity to teach students with autism spectrum disorders. More recently, Ellen completed a degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis. She currently works as the Learning Coordinator at Lincoln Elementary on Madison’s south side, working alongside other educators in an effort to forward social justice through equitable public education for all students. Ellen and Jim live in Madison with their two daughters, Noelle and Claudia. Good Shepherd and its ministries have been a consistent part of the family’s life, and Ellen treasures friendships with many people she has met through worship and events at the church.
