On Saturday, March 20, Good Shepherd welcomed Author, Professor and Pastor Dr. Ryan Burge for a presentation and discussion on the future of the church in America.
After a presentation filled with historical and political trends along with many sobering statistics about the state of religion, the decline of trust in institutions, and the increase in polarization and isolation, Dr. Burge concluded with these hopeful remarks: “All we can do is what we can do. Be the church. Do your job. Serve the community. Love others. Build space. Build time. Build possibility. And then let God show up.”
