Worship. Grow. Serve.
Committees at Good Shepherd play a vital role in helping shape the ministries of our church. Joining a committee is a great way to use your gifts and grow in Christ alongside fellow members of Good Shepherd. Listed below are the current committees of our church.
Children Youth and Family
In response to God’s love and grace, the purpose of the Children, Youth & Family committee at Good Shepherd is to teach that Good Shepherd is a place to feel welcome and safe; lay the foundation for what it means to live a life as a child of God and a disciple and support and connect children, youth, and families from birth through to young adulthood.
Develop short term and long term facility plans that help staff and volunteers responsibly manage the GSLC buildings and grounds to welcome and retain members, while providing comfortable spaces that meet our ministry needs. We communicate the facility needs of the church to the congregation and the board.
Living out our Christian faith through collaboration with local and global neighbors. We build relationships that value and empower all people to create positive change through God’s love.
Strategic Planning Committee
The Good Shepherd Board has approved the creation of a Strategic Planning Committee. This committee will assist the Board in researching, planning and making recommendations which will allow us to confidently walk not only into the coming months, but the coming years, together.
We create opportunities for our committees to share best practices with the goal being to strengthen our committee structure and support our shared leadership model. Access recent training materials below.
