The Chili Cook-off and Pie Auction is back! Friday, March 6 beginning at 6 p.m. | Verona
Enjoy a family friendly night of intergenerational fun at a great place to meet or invite a friend. This beloved event raises money for our High School summer travels.
Come and Dine
Your ticket gets you in the door to enjoy pie and custard, homemade cornbread, coffee and lemonade, and all the chili fixins. Individual cups of chili are pay-what -you-like throughout the night, enjoy as much as you like! We will mix and mingle, eat and fellowship from 6:00 – 7:00 before we announce the winners and begin the pie auction!
This is a great place to meet other folks from the congregation and to invite friends who enjoy good food and a fun time.
Chili and Pies Welcome
We are always looking for new chefs to bring their special recipes to the chili competition and give our previous winners a run for their money! Contestants make 30, one cup servings and are given a table station to decorate as they would like. Judges make their way through the crowd sampling all the chili’s, before announcing the winners. It’s all in fun and a great place to enjoy the gift of feeding others!
In addition, the Pie Auction welcomes classic and exotic pies made with love and ready to sell! You bring your pie in a plate with your name and number on it or a disposable pan. You are also welcome to include a story and description to tempt the buyers.
