HELLO, SUMMER! Seasons may change, but the need for blood doesn’t take a summer break. The heat is on to find more donors to overcome a concerning donation shortfall in recent weeks. Your blood donation is needed now to overcome a 26,000 donation shortfall last month. Please give!

The Red Cross continues to see a concerning trend – blood donations are being sent to hospitals faster than they are coming in. The Red Cross has collected about 50,000 fewer blood donations than needed over the last two months.
One in 7 patients entering a hospital will need a blood transfusion. Give now to ensure those living with sickle cell disease, people with cancer and accident victims have the blood products they need for care.
