Israel In Context: Jewish Perspectives on the Israel-Palestine Conflict

On Wednesday, January 17th, 2024 at 6:30 in Peterson Hall at the Madison campus, Good Shepherd is hosting a discussion on Judaism and the Israeli/Palestinian conflict with Rabbis Jonathan Biatch and Bonnie Margulis.
Our guest speakers will provide a quick overview of 4000 years of Jewish history, focusing on Jewish connection to the land of Israel and the history of persecution in the Diaspora around the world. Then they will delve in more detail into the history and political realities of the last 100 years, leading to the creation of the state of Israel and the roots and realities of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict that brought us to today.
