Historically, the church, with its lifesaving message of Jesus, has been a place of comfort and refuge in times of change.   Today the number of people in the U.S. who are seeking salvation and refuge within Christianity is unfortunately declining.  While over 60 percent of American’s identify as Christian, many of these Christians do not attend church.

It was into this perfect confluence of need, opportunity, and lifesaving message that Good Shepherd in 2022 created a Strategic Plan.

After significant internal and external research, discernment, and prayer, and with a goal of living out our mission and vision, Good Shepherd plans to use its many gifts, including technological capabilities to create in person and virtual Jesus-serving communities actively supported by pastors, staff and lay members.  This brochure summarizes the primary Strategic Plan objectives and reports on our progress Moving Forward and highlights the expanding opportunities in the Madison - Verona area.
