Learn about the Madison Campus Meditation Chapel Project

An interview with the Architect, Mark Henrichs

An intentional place for meditation

Good Shepherd’s Madison Campus was first built in 1959. Over the years, many additions have been made to the facilities as ministries have grown and needs have changed. Today, there is a growing desire among the community for a place of contemplation, prayer and meditation at the Madison Campus. Early in 2024, plans were developed for a space outside the lobby area of the Madison Campus. This space would become a dedicated Meditation Chapel – to be used by individuals and groups for reflection, meditation, prayer and worship gatherings.

About the Architect

Longtime Good Shepherd member and local architect Mark Henrichs has been a part of developing the familiar elements of worship spaces in and around both campuses of Good Shepherd. From the religious furniture (altar, pulpit and more) and Columbarium in Verona to various projects in Madison, Mark has worked to ensure a cohesive look across both campuses.
