“God’s Work. Our Hands.” Sunday

God is at work in our Community
On Sunday, September 8, ELCA congregations across the country will participate in the annual “God’s Work. Our Hands.” Sunday in a joint effort to serve our local communities.
Good Shepherd will be organizing a drive for essential supplies for families and children that attend local schools – specifically at Badger Ridge in Verona and Orchard Ridge in Madison.
Requested student donation items include:
- Shampoo
- Conditioner
- Deodorant
- Body Wash
- Toothpaste & Toothbrushes
- Body Lotion/Moisturizer
- Chapstick
Any personal items that will help students start their school year off right!
How to donate your items
Bring your donations to any of the three worship services at Good Shepherd this Sunday including 9:00 a.m. at Madison Campus and 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. at Verona Campus.
Blessing & Supporting Lutheran World Relief Quilts
During these worship services we will also have a special time set aside for the blessing and sending of hand-made quilts that will be provided to Lutheran World Relief for use in places of need around the globe.
Let’s partner together this Sunday as we use our hands to do God’s work!
