Update from Pastor Joe
Currently Attending a University of Michigan Speech Aphasia ProgramThis update comes from Pastor Joe’s wife Lynn as they begin their time at the University of Michigan Speech Aphasia Camp:
Day 1 of Aphasia Camp down! Wow, how I prayed to write that! The program is incredible! The therapists are wonderful and aphasia isn’t a mystery here. I read through the history of this program and it has evolved and changed with the times over its 80 year life; starting as a camp and then a program that required you to board for 10 weeks, and now outpatient and specialized to each person. They know aphasia. Joe had 3 hours back to back of individual therapy in the morning, lunch break and then another individual session and a group session. Needless to say, he’s in bed right now resting that brain.
We’re so pleased 🙌 to hear that Joe has started the process of rehabilitation and anticipate a fantastic outcome. We oftentimes ask our daughter Tara Osterholz, her husband, John Schultz and of course our grandson Lincoln how Pastor Joe is doing. At last some positive feedback – simply awesome.
Though we are from Platteville we’ve attended a few Sundays at Pastor Joe’s services – again, simple awesome, both the messages, and of course the various colors of Converse tennis shoes. 🙏🙏🙏
Pastor Joe, I pray for you every night. May God continue to bless you and your family✝️
Congratulations Pastor Joe. Work hard, play hard and love hard. I look so forward to your getting back home and we can hear you preach again.
My prayer is that everything goes better than hoped for and you are blessed richly. You are in God’s loving warm hands I just know great things are to come.
My prayers are with you, Lynn and the whole family. God speed!
