Reopening Updates from Pr. Chris Enstad
Dear siblings in Christ,
I am thrilled to announce the Good Shepherd Executive Committee, acting on recommendations from the COVID-19 Task Force, has authorized a return to in-person worship starting outside Easter Sunday, and inside a week later!
One year ago, we made the decision to move our worship services and program ministries online. We have made huge strides to deliver high quality virtual offerings to our members and guests. We experimented with outdoor worship services, guided by our reopening work group.
Our online worship attendance has remained steady. And we discovered virtual classes can often bring in more people if they can attend via Zoom! Your financial generosity has made it possible to accomplish our work without any staff cuts. Thank you for walking in these uncharted waters with us for 12 months.
Now, it is time to find our way back together.
As we move forward, we will stage our reopening incrementally, to make sure we are following safety protocols as well as stewarding our staff’s health and presence across two campuses, the Holy C.O.W., and all that makes up Good Shepherd.
We anticipate Good Shepherd will emerge from this pandemic as a “hybrid” church. This means online options for worship and faith formation will continue to be an important part of the Good Shepherd experience. We will continue to explore what made this last year of Good Shepherd worship so meaningful to people from both campuses and across the country.
More information will come in the next few weeks in eNews and the Messenger about how to register to attend, along with answers to questions about reopening. I look forward to seeing you soon!

Worship from Madison Campus Starting May 9
We have been blessed by the Good Shepherd foundation to acquire and upgrade the necessary audio and visual equipment at our Madison Campus to be able to livestream services at the same level of quality as Verona Campus. We are almost there and appreciate your patience as we currently wait on an installation date. We are confident to have this work completed by May.
