The Good Shepherd Columbarium – A Beautiful Resting Place

A beautiful place of final rest is a visible reminder of loved ones and is an important part of remembering, honoring, and healing. The old church cemetery of years gone by was a reminder of those saints who had gone on to life eternal.  Today the Good Shepherd Columbarium serves as a modern version of that reminder.

Our Good Shepherd Columbarium is located on the grounds of our Verona campus.  The columbarium consists of niches holding urns of our beloved saints. It also has a peaceful garden, a statue of the Good Shepherd, benches for contemplation, and a soothing waterfall.  This is a sacred place to sit and give thanks to God for the gift of loved ones.

The walkway around the columbarium consists of stone pavers, which can be purchased and engraved as a memorial to loved ones buried elsewhere or inurned in the columbarium. Benches are also available for purchase to honor a family member, a friend, or the glory of God. The Columbarium niches are available to Good Shepherd members, their families, and friends of the church. There are currently 144 niches in the columbarium with 50 of those currently available to purchase. Because of increasing costs of materials, the price for a niche will increase starting July 1, 2024.  For more details, contact the Columbarium Administrator at 608-271-6633 before this date.
