Good Shepherd Day of Prayer

Praying Together

Sunday November 10th we are asking all of Good Shepherd to join together and hold our Beyond Campaign in prayer. Throughout this day we will pray both by listening deeply to where God is calling our congregation to dream and move, and we will  ask  the Spirit to fill us with the courage and excitement to respond generously to that call with our resources, energy, and love.

Our day of prayer will begin during our morning worship services and end at The Deep in the evening. Between 12:00 – 6:00 we are inviting members to sign up for 30 minutes slots during which they will sit in prayer at one of our campuses. Each campus will have a space designated for and filled with supplies for that purpose. We invite members of all ages and stages to sign-up, you can even sign-up as a family! There is no perfection in prayer – all are welcome. If you would like to sign-up follow this link https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60B0B4CADA92AAB9-good

Even if you cannot take a shift in one of the prayer chapels, we hope you will take time during this day to reflect on God’s work in and through Good Shepherd over the past 60 years, and listen and pray for how you can be part of where God is calling us next.

Let Us Pray….

God of all generations, we thank you for your constant presence in our congregation for 62 years. We thank you for all the individuals who have willingly and generously done your work here and passed this place of grace on to us.

You have promised to be found when we seek you, and to hear us when we pray, so today we are asking, as a congregation, for you to guide us into the plans you have for us. Pour out your Spirit among us that we may listen deeply and respond courageously to the dreams you have planted among us.

You know both the needs and the gifts of your people and so we ask you to help us be your faithful servants in this time and this place. We ask this knowing that at times we may feel fearful and uncertain but also knowing that you will never call us beyond where you will not also be with us.

Continue to dance among the people of Good Shepherd and let us be a place that radiates your grace, love and joy!

Amen.
