In August, Good Shepherd hosted one of our most anticipated community events—the Rib Cook-Off! This spirited and delicious competition brought together individuals and families from our congregation and beyond for an afternoon of fun, food, and fellowship.
Our dedicated participants fired up their grills, bringing their best rib recipes to the table for a friendly competition. The atmosphere was filled with the tantalizing aroma of sizzling meats, and the sound of laughter and conversation as neighbors and friends gathered to sample, judge, and enjoy the offerings. With local chefs and amateur grillmasters showcasing their skills, the Rib Cook-Off was an opportunity to celebrate both culinary creativity and community spirit.
Not only was this event a great way to share a meal, but it also helped strengthen our connection with the wider community, allowing us to engage with old friends and make new ones in a welcoming and laid-back environment. The Rib Cook-Off is a true example of Good Shepherd’s commitment to serving and connecting with others through meaningful, fun experiences that create lasting memories.
