Youth retreats are more than just trips—they’re transformative experiences that help young people grow in faith, build lasting friendships, and explore their unique roles in God’s world. At Good Shepherd, we are blessed to provide our youth with opportunities to step away from the everyday and immerse themselves in meaningful, life-changing experiences.
This year, a group of our youth traveled to the ELCA's National Youth Gathering in New Orleans, a vibrant event that brought together thousands of young Lutherans from across the country. Through powerful worship, service opportunities, and inspiring speakers, our youth deepened their understanding of their faith and the ways they can make a difference in the world. The bonds they formed with each other and with young people from other congregations were unforgettable.
Closer to home, our youth also participated in retreats at Sugar Creek Bible Camp in Wisconsin. Nestled in the beauty of nature, these retreats provided space for reflection, connection, and fun. From campfire worship to team-building activities, Sugar Creek offers a perfect setting for spiritual growth and renewal.
Youth retreats are made possible by the support of our congregation and the dedication of leaders who give their time and energy to guide and inspire. These experiences remind our young people that they are loved, valued, and part of something much larger than themselves.
We are excited to see how God continues to work through the lives of our youth as they grow in faith and courage. Thank you for being part of this impactful ministry and for supporting opportunities that make a lasting difference.
