In Memoriam

Today we share the sad news that a former Lead Pastor of Good Shepherd, Pastor Dave Swenson, has died of cardiac arrest.  Pastor Dave had been at his lake home in Minnesota and celebrated Father’s Day weekend with his family. He was 72.

Pastor Dave served Good Shepherd Lutheran Church from 1986 – 2002.  He led our congregation through a time of rapid growth in church membership by placing a special emphasis on increasing our congregation’s ministries to youth and families.  He guided our Madison Campus through several large building programs.  Pastor Dave’s vision also inspired our congregation to begin our second church campus in Verona.

There will be a small family service in northern Minnesota in lieu of a funeral.
