Jared Stellmacher Says Goodbye

Good Shepherd Worship and Music Director Jared Stellmacher has accepted a new call as Director of Worship and Music at Riverside Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville, Florida.

Jared served Good Shepherd Lutheran Church for more than eight years with extraordinary dedication, creativity, and care. His leadership has helped the worship life of this congregation flourish. Jared’s final Sunday at Good Shepherd will be Sunday, January 25.

Jared says this decision did not come easily. “Serving at Good Shepherd has been a true gift,” Jared said.  “I am incredibly proud of the ministry we have built together and of the many ways music has supported and strengthened the worship life of this congregation.”

“In recent years, it has been especially meaningful to help deepen and unify worship across both the Verona and Madison campuses; to see the choir grow to nearly 50 voices; to celebrate the Christmas season together through Handel’s Messiah; and to witness the success of Music Mondays—our way of bringing music, food, and faith beyond our walls and more deeply into the surrounding community.”

In profound ways, his passion for excellence in music and worship has touched countless lives.

Jared’s final Sundays will be January 18 in Verona and January 25 in Madison, with Blessing & Farewell Celebrations held following worship at each location.

“This community has challenged me, supported me, and allowed me to grow in significant ways, both professionally and personally,” said Jared. “While I am sad to step away from Good Shepherd and the relationships I have built here, I trust that this is the right decision for Jared and me at this time. I am grateful beyond words for your trust, encouragement, and partnership in ministry.”

Thank you for the countless memories, the shared ministry, and the grace you have shown me over these years. I will always be thankful for my time at Good Shepherd and for the ways this community has shaped my life and faith,” said Jared.

Please keep Jared and his family in prayer during this time of transition.
