Refugee Ministry Greeting Syrian Family of Five on August 8th
Good Shepherd’s Refugee Resettlement Ministry is expecting the arrival of a Syrian refugee family of five on Tuesday, August 8th.
- A three bedroom apartment has been secured for the family by Jewish Social Services of Madison
- We will again be responsible for furnishing/stocking the apartment
Here’s how you can help:
Saturday, July 29th, 10-Noon at the Storage Unit
- Help to clean, sort, and stage furnishings prior to move in.
Thursday, August 3rd, 9:00 am at the Storage Unit **
- Load furnishings and move in/furnish/stock the apartment
Tuesday, August 8th
- Greet and welcome the family on arrival at the Airport**
- Prepare a welcoming meal and meet family at their new apartment**
** Volunteers need to have submitted to a Background Check through JSS-Madison and sign their confidentiality agreement
