Weekly Update from Pastor Chris | April 9, 2020
The Great Three Days
As we enter into the Triduum (The Great Three Days of Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter), we have much to give thanks for even as we yearn for a return to a time when we will again gather face to face with each other. Good Shepherd’s Board, Staff, and Committees are all hard at work learning, praying and finding ways to stay connected to you while keeping us connected to God and God’s world. If you have not made use of our Good Shepherd App please take a moment to download it so that you can connect to our online worship services and gatherings.
An update on Pastor Joe
Pastor Joe continues to make strong steps in his recovery. He has been transferred to the UW Rehabilitation Hospital and is able to visit with his family through the window of his room! We are hopeful that he will be able to transition to either his home or a long-term rehab facility in the coming weeks. In the meantime, please feel free to send cards (no flowers please) to Pr. Joe at the church address (5701 Raymond Road, Madison, WI 53711).
I hope to “see” you all in some fashion in the coming days. Easter is a time of joy, a celebration that even in the face of death God gives new life! May our faith continue to find resurrection and transformation day by day in these strange times.
